Screw jacks (Ball screw)
JB, JBH and JTB Series

JB Series standard screw jacks (ball screw)

A high performance ball screw has been adopted that offers high-efficiency, low noise operation.

Features
This series uses a high-performance ball screw.
The nut and worm wheel have been integrated for a more compact design.
The Worm Speed Reducer is lubricated with an oil bath. This gives it ample durability even during high-speed operation.
An ideal bearing structure offers high performance.
A wide variety of standard jacks is available from 5 kN to 1250 kN.
Structure

[JB005 & JB010]

Screw shaft end

Select from a rich variety of fitting configurations.

High precision, large screw shaft

This series uses a ball screw.

Ideal bearing structure

This series uses a tapered roller bearing that is durable against both thrust and radial loads.

Integrated ball nut and worm wheel

Because the structure allows for the load to be stably and uniformly distributed on the ball nut, safety is improved and the product life is extended.

High precision worm wheel

This series uses a special aluminum bronze material which has been machined with high precision and offers ample strength.

Screw shaft guide

A screw guide is provided on the ball nut to minimize drift of the screw.

High efficiency reduction

This design offers the benefits of many years of experience with Worm Speed Reducer.

Grease lubrication

Grease lubrication offers easy maintenance.

Light weight housing

The housing is manufactured from diecast aluminum and is both lightweight and compact.

Large input shaft

This series offers ample strength for the use of multiple connected jacks.

This jack is constructed of a worm gear and ball nut and is optimal for efficient, accurate and high frequency operation.
This jack operates by turning the input shaft (worm shaft), rotating the worm wheel (nut) and this movement is transmitted as propulsive force to the screw shaft.
The worm section and screw section are both lubricated with grease.
*Because a ball screw does not have holding force, a brake mechanism is necessary.

[JB025 to JB1250]
*Only significant differences with the JB005 to JB010 models are explained.

Ideal bearing structure

A tapered roller bearing is used and in heavy load applications a thrust self-aligning roller bearing is used.

Oil bath lubrication

Oil bath lubrication makes high-speed operation possible and offers easy maintenance.

Tough housing

Models number 100 and above use cast steel for the housing and models 025 to 075 use ductile cast iron (FCD450).
Cast steel production is also available.

End cap

The end cap is convenient for inspecting the screw shaft.

This jack uses oil bath lubrication for the worm section and grease lubrication for the screw section.
*Because a ball screw does not have holding force, a brake mechanism is necessary.

JBH series hi-lead screw jacks (ball screw)

Hi-lead specifications A high speed jack with a larger screw lead

Features
High speed operation Each model is capable of high speed operation with a maximum operating speed of 5.9 to 8.4 m/min.
When operating at the same speed as the JB standard series, noise is reduced because the input shaft speed is decreased.
Standard models are available from 25 kN to 200 kN.

JTB Series traveling nut screw jacks (ball screw)

Features
The operation of the traveling nut minimizes the necessary space for installation in the axial direction.
Structure

[*The structure describes models of 025 to 1250.]

Integrated ball nut and traveling nut

Because the structure allows for the load to be stably and uniformly distributed on the ball nut, safety is improved and the product life is extended.

High precision, large screw shaft

This series uses a ball screw.

Ideal bearing structure

This series uses a tapered roller bearing and uses a thrust self-aligning roller bearing for heavy loads.

High precision worm wheel

This series uses a special aluminum bronze material which has been machined with high precision and offers ample strength.

Large input shaft

This series offers ample strength for the use of multiple connected jacks.

High efficiency reduction

This design offers the benefits of many years of experience with Worm Speed Reducer.

Tough housing

Models number 100 and above use cast steel for the housing and models 025 to 075 use ductile cast iron (FCD450). Cast steel production is also available.

Oil bath lubrication

Oil bath lubrication makes high-speed operation possible and offers easy maintenance.

This jack operates by turning the input shaft (worm shaft), rotating the worm wheel (screw shaft) and this moves the traveling nut. This design is convenient for use in limited spaces.
Models 005 and 010 are lubricated using a grease bath for the worm section and grease lubrication for the screw section. Models 025 to 200 are lubricated using an oil bath for the worm section and grease lubrication for the screw section. A baffle is necessary for the traveling nut. (Refer to the screw torque in the basic specifications.)
